Focus and Scope

The aim of TÜRKLÜK is to create a source for academics and scientists who are doing research in the media, technology and communication that feature formally well-written quality works. And also create a source that will contribute and help develop the fields of study. Accordingly, TÜRKLÜK’s intentions are on publishing articles and scientific works which are guided by a scientific quality sensibility. In this context, TÜRKLÜK is qualified as an “international peer-reviewed journal”. It is a peer-reviewed international journal published four times a year.

TÜRKLÜK, research, examination, criticism and evaluation articles related to Turkish language, literature, historical and contemporary Turkish dialects and Turkish world literature are published in order to be announced to the public. In addition to this, articles on cultural and social problems related to language and literature from other fields of Social Sciences are included.

In the articles sent to TÜRKLÜK, it is required that there should be an original "research article" that contributes to the field, or a "review article" that evaluates previously published studies and presents new and remarkable views on this subject. In addition, the evaluation articles and book reviews of the scientific books published in related fields are also in the scope of the journal.

With the decision of the editorial board, English or Turkish translations of original articles from foreign language, which are thought to have contributed in their field, may also be included, provided that they do not exceed one-third of the journal. In order for the translation articles to be published, it is obligatory to send the permission text to be obtained from the author or the right owner of the original article along with the translation text.

In order for the articles to be published in the Journal of Aydın Türklük Bilgi, they must not have been published elsewhere or accepted for publication. Articles produced from papers not presented but published in a scientific meeting can be accepted provided that this is clearly stated in the footnote.

İstanbul Aydın Türklük Bilgi Dergisi is a peer-reviewed and scientific journal published twice a year in print and electronic format. Original theoretical and / or experimental study, articles in which various scientific research methods are applied are accepted. The editorial board of Istanbul Aydın University Journal is authorized to accept or not to accept articles upon the evaluation of international experts. Manuscripts should preferably be written in Turkish and English.

Peer Review Process

In evaluation of articles sent for publication, scientific quality is the most important criteria. All articles sent to the Aydın Türklük Bilgisi Journal are evaluated by the Editorial Board in terms of compliance with the journal publication principles and qualification. Editorial Board have the right to publish or not to publish the sent article and make revisions in article in necessary cases. After the preliminary evaluation, article that is not suitable for publication will not be included in the evaluation process and the author will be informed. It is sent back to the author to correct the deficiencies and resubmit.

To evaluate with the blind review system, articles that are suitable for publication are send to three peers. Peers evaluate the articles in terms of method, content and originality and decide if they are suitable for publication. The editorial board has authority to decide whether the article will be published or not, taking into account the peer reports received within the specified period. Articles are scheduled for publication in an issue deemed appropriate by the Editorial Board and the author is informed. The names of the peers are kept confidential and the reports are kept for five years. 3 copies of the issue containing the article are sent to the author within one month after the publication of the article.

The copyright of the articles that are decided to be published after the evaluation process are deemed to have been transferred to Istanbul Aydın University. For this purpose, the "article submission form", in which there is an agreement stating that the publishing rights are transferred to the journal, should also be filled in and sent.

Author is responsible for scientific, ethical and legal responsibilities of views and translations in published articles in Aydın Türklük Bilgisi Journal. By indicating the source quotations can be made from texts and photographs. However, without the written permission of the journal management, published articles can not be published again in anywhere (in print or online). The author has right to reproduce all or some parts of article for his/her own purposes, provided that s/he states that article published in the journal.

All authors that send articles to Aydın Türklük Bilgisi Journal, are deemed to accept those principles.

Open Access Policy

TÜRKLÜK adopted a policy of providing open access. This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

Publication Charge

Authors are not charged for the journal's article submission, editorial process or publication fees (page or color fees).

Principles of Research and Publication Ethics

In scientific papers sent to TÜRKLÜK, guidelines on Higher Education Institutions Scientific Research and Publication Ethics, the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the International Standards for the Editors and Authors of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) should be taken into attention. Plagiarism, forgery in the data, misleading, repetition of publications, divisional publication and individuals who do not contribute to the research are among the authors are unacceptable practices within the ethical rules. Legal actions will be taken in case of any ethical irregularity related to this and similar practices.

a)Plagiarism: Placing the original ideas, methods, data, or works of others, partly or completely, without making reference to the scientific rules, is dealt with in the context of plagiarism. In order to avoid plagiarism, the authors should refer to the scientific rules in a manner that is appropriate and should pay attention to the references of all scientific papers in their research.

b)Forgery of Data: The use of data that does not exist or is modified in scientific research is data in the scope of forgery. Authors should analyze their data in accordance with ethical rules and without exposing them to a change in validity and reliability during the process.

c)Detortion: Changing the records or data obtained from the study, showing the devices or materials that are not used in the research as used, changing or shaping the research results according to the interests of the people and organizations that are supported are considered within the scope of distortion. The authors should be honest, objective and transparent in the information they provide in relation to the research process. They should avoid violating the rules of ethics.

d)Repetition: Presenting the same publication as separate publications without referring to the previous publications is considered within the scope of repetition of publications. The responsibility for the publication of the publications submitted for evaluation in another place or in the evaluation process belongs to the authors. The authors should refrain from repeating the original and original research and they should pay attention to submit their original and original research.

e)Divisional Publication: The results of a research are discussed in the scope of dissemination and disseminating the results of the research in a way that disrupts the integrity of the research and disseminating it in more than one way, and publishing these publications as separate publications. The authors should consider the integrity of the research and avoid the divisions that will affect the results.

f)Authorship: The inclusion of people who do not contribute to the research or not to include the people who have contributed is considered within the scope of unfair writing. All authors should have contributed sufficiently to the planning, design, data collection, analysis, evaluation, preparation of the research and finalization of the research.

Copyright

Copyright aims to protect the specific way the article has been written to describe a scientific research in detail. It is claimed that this is necessary in order to protect author’s rights, and to regulate permissions for reprints or other use of the published research. TÜRKLÜK have a copyright form which is required authors to sign over all of the rights when their article is ready for publication. The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions and will retain publishing rights without restrictions. The submitted papers are assumed to contain no proprietary material unprotected by patent or patent application; responsibility for technical content and for protection of proprietary material rests solely with the author(s) and their organizations and is not the responsibility of the TÜRKLÜK or its Editorial Staff. The main (first/corresponding) author is responsible for ensuring that the article has been seen and approved by all the other authors. It is the responsibility of the author to obtain all necessary copyright release permissions for the use of any copyrighted materials in the manuscript prior to the submission.

Aydın Türklük Bilgisi does not allow authors to use copyright without restrictions. The responsibility for the technical content and protection of the registered material belongs only to the author and institutions and is not the responsibility of the IAU or Editorial Board. The main author is responsible for ensuring that the article is viewed by all other authors. It is the author’s responsibility to obtain all necessary copyright permissions for the use of copyrighted materials in the article before submission. What are my rights as author?

It is important to check the policy for the journal to which you are submitting or publishing to establish your rights as Author. TÜRKLÜK’s standard policies allow the following re-use rights:

The journal allow the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions. The journal allow the author(s) to obtain publishing rights without restrictions. You may do whatever you wish with the version of the article you submitted to the journal. Once the article has been accepted for publication, you may post the accepted version of the article on your own personal website, your department’s website or the repository of your institution without any restrictions. You may not post the accepted version of the article in any repository other than those listed above (i.e. you may not deposit in the repository of another institution or a subject-matter repository) until 12 months after publication of the article in the journal. You may use the published article for your own teaching needs or to supply on an individual basis to research colleagues, provided that such supply is not for commercial purposes.​

TÜRKLÜK allows the use of articles by authors without copy right restrictions.

You may use the article in a book authored or edited by you *_at any time after publication in the journal. This does not apply to books where you are contributing a chapter to a book authored or edited by someone else.

You may not post the published article on a website or in a repository without permission from TÜRKLÜK.
